Favorite Things
- My daughter's laugh
- Crisp morning air and a clear view of the mountains
- Flowers - roses, wisteria, dahlias, tulips, peonies, delphiniums, pansies, lilacs, narcissus, daffodils, hyacinths, freesias, chrysanthemums, and many more. I love 'em all!
- A fire in the fireplace and a steaming cup of cocoa on a cold day
- Time spent with my family
- Fluffy white clouds in a bright blue sky
- Deliciously fat historical novels (preferably with equally plump sequels)
- Sleeping in
- Anything written by my husband
- Huge, spreading trees overhead and soft, springy grass underfoot
- Chocolate covered pretzels (salty, sweet AND crunchy--the ultimate snack food!)
- Watching Top Chef, House or The Office after a tough day at work
- Cranking up the tunes on a roadtrip
- Cheese ("I don't care how f*#@ing runny it is. Hand it over with all speed!")
- A lazy morning spent reading and savoring an enormous cup of freshly brewed coffee with a little Mozart, Bach or Vivaldi in the background - heaven!
