Friday I'm in Love

Ah, glorious Friday! I'm so in love with you it's not even funny . . .

It's remarkable what sleeping in 'til 10:00am and then drinking two cups of delicious freshly brewed coffee can do for one's outlook on life! I must say that my hubby earned some serious brownie points this morning. :)

Once Emmy's had her nap and I've had a much-needed shower, we'll be heading out to exciting destinations like KMart and Target to find an umbrella and sand toys for our outing to the beach tomorrow afternoon . . . should be fun. It'll be only the second time that Emmy's been to the beach (her first time was last August), so we're looking forward to seeing her reaction. Last time she wasn't too keen on all the sand sticking to her legs, and was only able to shovel a few grains at a time into her bucket - and then there was the horrifying experience of the cold shower to wash off her feet. We're hoping that she'll have a lot more fun this year!

Something seems to have clicked in the past couple of weeks on the speech front - Emmy's saying 2-3 new words every day now. More, moon, top, house, eat, bathroom (pronounced ba-oom), and duck (now with a "duh" in front of the "k" - a major accomplishment!) are recent additions to her vocabulary. We can't wait to find out what "Aboo . . . da!" means . . .

Well, Emmy's finally asleep so I'm gonna hit the shower. Have a terrific day, and a wonderful weekend!
